It’s so loud out there. In the world, I mean.

All that noise on the news and social media. The political pollution, the over-zealous zealots, the left versus right.

Blah fucking blah.

It’s no wonder people are so depressed and angry.

We’re not equipped to be bombarded with all that clattering. We’re not meant to be subjected to so much social distortion.

It puts us in a constant state of fight, flight, or freeze. And that’s not good for the brain.

Which got me thinking…

About the need to follow along. To be online for business, community, and influence.

  • Remember, everybody has a bias and everybody has an agenda. Put everything up for review. Align it with a greater purpose or push it aside.

About algorithms and the virality of hate and negative content.

  • Why are you paying attention in the first place? How does this benefit your life or peace of mind? You know what they say: you are what you eat.

And about concerning ourselves with things beyond our control.

  • Others will say what they want to say, do what they want to do. Better to focus on you. Your thoughts, your actions, your attention—what you control.

Point is, life’s too short for all the bullshit. Don’t step in it on purpose.

Tune out the noise. Turn down the suck. Crank up what brings you joy.

Here are 15 things you might find interesting.

Some words

Parea (Greek): a group of friends who gather to share life experiences, philosophies, values, and ideas; to celebrate culture and everyday joys.

“If you take big paces, you leave big spaces.”
Burmese proverb

“In order to understand the owl, you must first study the mouse.”
– Apache Chief, Predator vs. Prey by Kenny Covington

Some wonder

Some wealth

Some wellness

Some work

That’s a wrap. I hope you found something interesting.

Keep building.
