A pair of eye glasses sits on a blank background. The frames are blocky, with thick rims and wide, open arms. The lenses are semi-circular in shape; flat along the top and round along the edges and the bottom. Shadows cast along the surface of the lenses, with the right lens being darker than the left. Two small screws can be seen on either side of the frame, attaching the arms to the glasses.

What it takes to keep going when faced with fear and uncertainty: read 252 words on The Davis Daily

A simple, black-and-white line drawing featuring two characters side by side. On the left is a character resembling Cousin Itt from The Addams Family. He is drawn as a tall, column-shaped figure entirely covered in long, wavy hair that flows from the top of his head to his feet. He wears a small round hat and glasses that sit over his hair, the only elements distinguishing his face. To the right is a cartoon-like girl with flowing hair that extends outward in large, rounded curls, taking up most of her figure. Her face is small and centred within her hair, with closed eyes and a gentle, content expression. The waves of her hair mirror Cousin Itt’s, creating a visual connection between the two characters.

What Hollywood and Disney don’t tell you about true love. In 426 words on The Davis Daily.

This is a simple heart drawn in pencil. A gradient makes it appear three-dimensional. The heart is shaded in grey tones, with a darker outline around the edges and lighter, textured shading towards the centre. On the upper left side of the heart, there are several circular highlights that resemble light reflections. The overall texture of the heart appears rough, giving it a somewhat weathered or broken appearance.
