Imagine an older two-storey wooden house. The roof is steep and gabled, with horizontal siding along a small attic window near the peak. Below is a covered front porch with a railing, several narrow windows, and a central front door. The window to the right of the door is larger, made up of three glass panels. The curtains are pulled back, showing the silhouettes of a family. The window to the left of the door is a small single pane of glass. It’s dark, but a lone figure is visible within. The porch is reached by a short flight of steps. A straight walkway leads from the porch steps toward another set of steps. Half of the walkway is made from stone, the other half is made of concrete pads. The concrete is chipped and cracked. The stonework is well-worn. The walkway is bordered by a simple lawn, and two flowerbeds sit on either side of the porch steps.

This is a pencil drawing of a baseball. Two arched lines run vertically along the ball parallel with each other. The ball’s stitching runs along these lines. There is a dark shadow beneath a portion of the left side of the ball. The ball also has dark and light lines trailing off its left side to indicate it’s in mid flight, as if someone has thrown the ball toward the right edge of the image. These lines, along with the ball itself, are slightly blurred to show how fast the ball is moving.

This is a black-and-white hand-drawn illustration of a wide, exaggerated smile. It’s just the mouth, nothing else. No nose, eyes, or face. The lips curve sharply upward at each corner. It’s almost as if the large grin is forced. The upper lip is thin, while the lower lip is full. The mouth is open, revealing two neat rows of big, rounded teeth.

This is a childish drawing of a hamster. The small, furry rodent is lying flat on its stomach. The hamster’s wee legs are sticking straight out from its body. It almost looks like a flattened potato with a little black nubbin for a tail. The hamster’s rounded ears are perked up but it has a disinterested look on its face, with tiny black eyes staring off into the distance.

A black-and-white line drawing shows a winding two-lane road. It curves sharply to the right and abruptly ends at a jagged cliff, with cracked concrete and rubble falling off the edge. Just before the cliff, on the left side of the road, stands a large billboard. The billboard displays the partially written phrase GUILT TRI… in blocky letters and trailing off with ellipses, suggesting the word GUILT TRIP. There are sparse patches of grass on either side of the road and the setting feels remote. The imagery suggests an emotional or psychological journey that leads to a sudden stop or dead end, consistent with themes of unresolved guilt and pressure.
